“Authentically British from it’s bespoke British Racing Green tailoring to its superb craftsmanship, but most defined by its World Champion racing spirit. 100% pressed, fermented and produced in England, Crispin Browns Lane is a deliciously dry, classic English cider.
Crispin Browns Lane is named for the original Jaguar car factory in England, and is a sincere homage to the great British motor-racing heritage, embodied in classic Jaguar, Bentley, Aston-Martin, Lotus cars and the legendary drivers like Hill, Stewart, Moss, Surtees and Clark. A racing tradition and expertise that continues today in Formula 1 and Cart racing.
A lightly sparking, crisply effervescent cider made with traditional English bittersweet cider apples sourced in the Malvern Hills of Worcestershire. Dark straw in appearance with a semi-brilliant richness. The slight brettanomyces aroma lends to an almost traditional farmhouse cider bouquet. Soft, subtle natural apple sweetness up front, brett & tannins mid-palate move in to a slightly woody dry lingering finish.”

A – Well-carbonated and golden yellow in color, Browns Lane has a pillowy white head with great retention, especially for a cider.
S – Abounding tartness with overflowing earth tones, Browns Lane has acidic apple skin tannins that remind of a French Biere de Garde or lightly funky gueuze. English yeast notes pop in briefly before the bittersweet dry finish closes it out.
T – The upfront sweetness gives a nice glance at the juicy apples but is quickly brushed aside by the earthy tones and bitter, tart apple skin tannins.
M – Annoyingly refreshing, Browns Lane is hard to take just one sip of. From the sweet start to the light bitter and tart dry finish, this well-carbonated, light-bodied cider feels great!
O – Fantastic in every regard, Browns Lane is an excellent cider that takes me to a place I’ve never been; relaxing in an English pub, sipping this cider in a dreary drizzle. The earthy dryness and bittersweet apples beg for another sip as the glass parts ways with my lips. Another? Hell yes.
Cheers,

Where can I find Crispin Cider in San Diego?
I think I am distantly related, and curiously anxious to try it (a beer lover, but this sounds good!)
I’ve contacted Crispin about it and will let you know what they say!
Rebecca, Crispin told me that you could try looking at Whole Foods first, but that they also have an iPhone and droid “Crispin cider finder” app that would help a lot more if you’ve got an iPhone or droid!
Cheers and thanks for reading BeerFM!
