A – Pale to the max, this brightly clear yellow beer almost has a grey-ish hue to it. The white head is abundant and lacing-rich.
S – Very subtle noble hop undertones allow a pinch of floral spice to emerge from behind the simple blend of pale and pilsner malt. Crisp and clean with just a slight odd, almost fruity finish.
T – Marquette Pilsner has a nice floral and faint citrus hop character up front that’s sideswiped by a light fruity characteristic that’s not terrible, but not so welcome for the style. Pale and pils malt finishes out with a smooth sweetness and honey drizzle.
M – Marquette Pilsner is surprising in that it finishes with a mild lingering bitterness that’s just slightly more upfront than your usual pilsner. Crisp and lighter-bodied, the balance is very nice here.
O – Drinkable and refreshing, Marquette Pilsner shows real potential but has just a few flaws holding it back from greatness. That’s also me being very picky. Realistically, I wouldn’t hesitate to put a few of these beers back with one of their delicious pizzas!
